The majority of our graded timber comes in both C16 & C24 specifications and is regularised & kiln-dried with eased edge for better handling. This helps to reduce the moisture content to 20% less than standard timber, keeping it in line with building regulations and making it an ideal material to use in a construction project, with these specs often being designated within construction projects by architects.
Kiln-drying also helps to improve the timber's strength and durability against things such as cupping, warping or twisting. Our graded timber is treated with protection against mould, fungi and infestation. We pressure treat all our timber in our own site treatment tanks, so the treatment penetrates the timber further.
We can also offer timber not treated by kiln, in all section sizes, typically preferred for builds in which moisture content is not a concern, for example, with fencing, landscaping projects or if an architect has not designated graded timber is needed.
