About OSB

OSB for short of oriented strand board is a firm favourite in the construction industry for a wide variety of uses because of its strength, cost and ease to work with. Strands and layers of wood are mixed with an adhesive and pressed to form the board and OSB is a firm favourite in roofing & flooring projects. You'll often find OSB used in outbuildings too and its characteristic industrial look has made it on-trend for walls and design in restaurants and bars in more recent times. The process of making an OSB board means that the wood is weaved together to form a robust sheet and OSB has become a cheaper alternative to shuttering or softwood ply as it bears the same structural integrity. Our range of OSB is OSB3 grade and is sometimes referred to as the sterling board. OSB3 is bonded with PH glue and is designed for structural or load-bearing applications.
