About Moisture Resistant Sheets / Pieces

Moisture resistant MDF or medium density fibreboard to give its full name like its sister product standard MDF is a product created by using resins to bond tiny fibres of wood using resins, pressure and heat. The significant difference to standard MDF is that this product is bonded and treated with moisture repellent resins and treatments to make it much more capable of dealing with damp or moist environments. You can easily tell the difference between standard and moisture resistant MDF as this board has a green colour added to it and it is advisable to choose moisture resistant MDF if you are going to install the board in a place that gets regularly damp or moist such as in a bathroom. Moisture resistant MDF bears the same properties as its standard counterpart giving a smooth surface and all the versatility is still present making this an ideal choice when needed as a durable sheet material for damper conditions.
