The North Pole Adventure Christmas spectacular opens its doors for the first time this weekend, and Harlow Timber has been instrumental in supplying timber and materials for the construction of the brand-new event at The National Forest Adventure Farm near Burton Upon Trent.

The 2-hour festive experience is set to enchant children and adults alike with a magical journey to the north pole, visiting a festive Victorian village and a polar bear show along the way, before a trip to see the main man Santa himself.

With bookings being snapped up fast, the attraction has been months in the making, and head of events Ivor Robinson at the children’s attraction has constructed the feature almost exclusively out of timber organised and purchased from Harlow Bros in Burton Upon Trent.

Manager of our Burton Branch Simon Mcilvenna, along with Showroom Supervisor Richard Shorthouse, visited the magical Christmas event just prior to opening day and were hugely impressed by the amount of effort and craftsmanship that had been put into creating the attraction. The Adventure Farm’s events team have procured over £20,000 worth of carcassing, plywood, planned timbers, doors, Screws and other fixings to transform the venue into a winter wonderland from our Burton store.

Branch Manager Simon Mcilvenna said “When our customers are working to a tight deadline with an event such as this it’s crucial that we deliver. Getting it the right first time and on time is absolutely critical, and it's testament to Richard and the rest of my dedicated team that we have been a vital and trustworthy supplier for Ivor and his spectacular event.” “Kids and adults alike will be enchanted by his efforts, and it makes me proud to see first-hand that the hard work we have put in to cater for Ivor and his team’s needs has resulted in such a magical event.” “The reason why businesses such as the National Forest Adventure Farm choose Harlow Timber over others is that they know they can rely on us to supply quality timber at a great price when and where they need it, and that makes for one less worry when you are working to a goal in a tight timeframe.”

Showroom Supervisor Richard Shorthouse said, “It’s amazing to see the finished article, and it’s even more spectacular than I had imaged when I first saw Ivor’s plans.” “I think it goes to show that Harlow Bros supply timber and more for a multitude of projects and a wide range of uses, and Ivor’s efforts here show what a great partnership has been formed between Harlow Bros Burton and the East Midlands Adventure Farm.”
