When choosing materials for a new deck for your home or commercial project you want to use products that are made to last whilst having overall project cost in mind.
At Harlow from our central hub at Long Whatton, we have everything on-site to create decking products from the source timber material, and our long-standing sawmill relationships mean that we get the right wood and then use our own sawmills & treatment tanks to create a range of decking that is Harlow’s very own design.
Our timber decking has a dual-sided profile that allows you to select two looks for your project in one and with a board dimension of 38 x 125mm (finish size 35 x 120mm) the sections of timber that we use to make our decking mean that our product is more robust and longer-lasting.
At Harlow, we also benefit from our own experienced team of technicians that use the suite of on-site pressure treatment tanks to process our decking to Harlow standard so it’s ready to stand up to the elements and fight the infestation.
When you are creating a new deck whilst selecting the right top board for your project is vital the timber you use to create the base are equally important. At Harlow, we have a huge range of sizes and grades of timber to ensure that when you are creating or replacing a deck area we have the materials in stock to build a base for your project that will last. At Harlow timber is at the heart of everything we do when we took the decision to stock a range of composite decking we kept that in mind. Our composite boards are fabricated from a high-quality WPC (Wood Polymer Composite) which is a hybrid of timber fibres with an environmentally friendly, thermoplastic pure polymer. Available in a range of colours that are in keeping with traditional wood colours and more contemporary shades our composite deck range provides a virtually maintenance-free, non-slip, splinter-free barefoot-friendly solution that will last. The timber fibres used within the compound are also PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified so you know it’s made from sustainable and ethical materials and to complement our composite boards we offer a complete range of composite and aluminium frame components so if you decide to follow manufacturer advice and mount your composite deck on a composite & aluminium base we can supply the complete kit of feet and rails to your project requirements.
