We take great care in sourcing our products to ensure the traceability and integrity. All our timber is sourced from well-managed forests governed by strict environmental programmes.
Harlow Bros Ltd have been granted certification by CATG & Control Union. This covers the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Scheme and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Chain of Custody scheme.
FSC is an independant, non-profit, non-governmental organisation. It is an association of members from environmental and social groups, the timber trade and the forestry profession, community forestry groups and other organisations from around the world.
The PEFC Council (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is also an independant, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests through independant third party certification.
The Timber Trade Federation (TTF), Responsible Purchasing Policy (RPP) - This is a due diligence purchasing mechanism providing a framework to analyse risk of unmanaged or illegal timber entering the supply chain and marries with our EUTR responsibilities. As with FSC and PEFC schemes this is an externally audited purchase management system.
