Harlow Open Shelters
Sitework
The normal recommendation is a concrete floor with a single course of engineering bricks to carry the sections and to act as a dampcourse. HARLOWS provide galvanised stays to anchor the building firmly to the base after the building has been erected.
If extra Height is required the building can be erected on either one or more courses of engineering bricks or 9" blocks.
Standard height buildings can be erected on either one or two courses of engineering bricks on a concrete base or 75 x 100mm pressure treated timber plynth on levelled ground.
Sitework and Preparation of Bases are the customers responsibility. Where the shelter is being erected in a field, it is necessary to first remove the turf and level the site. We also recommend that hardcore or quarry waste be put down and packed solid.
We supply dimensioned working drawings free with every order.
Please note a certain amount of waste material is to be expected and will be left in a neat pile for customers disposal.
