Manufacture

All our trusses are manufactured at our Timber Frame factory situated in Burton upon Trent. The MiTek design programme  will provide the required  profiles, timber sizes, cutting lists and drawings indicating where all plates need to be placed and pressed. The correct grade and size of timber will be indicated and shown on a cutting list for the saw operator.

Once all the materials are cut they will be passed on to the jig to be pressed into the final Truss profiles indicated on manufacturing drawings. The jig is set up in the correct position to create the truss profile, once this has been set the rest of the trusses will be made to the exact same set up.

Once a set has been finished it will be stacked together, banded then loaded carefully onto the truck. All other products needed to complete the job will be boxed and marked accordingly, in one of these boxes will be a truss layout for you to follow.
