Manufacture

All our Timber Frames are manufactured at our factory situated in Burton upon Trent. The designers will generate all the drawings and create all the schedules to pass onto the factory which indicate timber sizes, lengths and grades. Once timber has been sourced and sawn it is then ready to pass onto manufacture.

All the frames are made up on our specially made benches which square up all the panels and nail all the members together to make the complete panel. Then plywood or OSB is connected to the outside skin of the panel then covered in a breather membrane. Every step of this process closely follows our UKTFA Quality Assurance Scheme.

All members of our staff follow these procedures rigorously, ensuring the highest quality product.

Once a set has been finished it will be stacked together, banded and covered to reduce any chance of weather damage during transport or on site. All other products needed to complete the job will be boxed and marked accordingly.
