Manufacture

All our posi joists are manufactured at our Timber Frame factory situated in Burton upon Trent.

The joists are made on the MiTek Posi-Joist Strut Runner that enables fast production of joists. The operator will set up the machine to make the truss and start to press it; whilst this is happening he can set up another joist at the other end of the machine if size allows. This reduces standing time for the machine, once this sequence has been performed the Posi-Joist Strut Runner memorises this and will repeat the press pattern for the required number of joists for the job. Each joist will be labelled individually to correspond with the drawing accompanying the job, this label will indicate joist number and length plus weight.

Once a set has been finished it will be stacked together, banded and wrapped up to reduce chances of weather damage during transport and on site. All other products needed to complete the job will be boxed and marked accordingly, in one of these boxes will be a Posi-Joist installation guide for you to follow.
